“Ramblings in Square” is a collection of digital images that I shot in 1:1 format, forcing myself out of a photographic safe zone. Shortly after these photos, I traded my digital kit with a TLR and never looked back.
Film experience has it’s own pace. It also has it’s own headspace. In non-film days, I keep an ancient digital compact in my pocket. If my pockets are empty, I borrow a phone. There are things to appreciate, notes to take and moments to remember before the light fleets away.
Later, some of these frames are revisited and reconstructed with a film camera. Other times, they stay as sketches, marking time and memories.
